A brimmed cloche with cameo portrait screen printed on sepia silk, set inside a felt inlay oval and free-hand machine embroidered with scroll work to complete the frame. The brim is bound in silk and finished inside with a cotton/rayon grossgrain ribbon.
The cameos are drawings based on pictures of relatives including my Uncle Pooley in 1st grade and my great grandmother’s wedding picture.
